Great way to start the day at the University of Notre Dame Washington Office with alumni, friends, and some incredibly impressive students from the Student Policy Network.

These young leaders are already tackling big challenges, from affordable housing and AI to human rights, environmental protection, and labor rights – doing it with the kind of rigor and purpose we need more of in public service.

As a proud Irish American and public servant, I couldn’t be more encouraged. The future is in good hands when the next generation is this engaged, thoughtful, and committed to building a better country.

Yesterday, I joined the Prevent Cancer Foundation to discuss the Congressional Families Program. This program expands opportunities for early detection screenings and outreach – two of the most important ways to raise awareness of cancer.

As an occupational therapist, I’ve seen firsthand the hardships cancer has on patients and their families. We are all touched by cancer, which is why I am a proud supporter of the Congressional Families Program.

Heartbroken to hear of the passing of my friend, Congressman David Scott.

In the last two years, I’ve gotten to know and love this great American. A true gentleman, leader and patriot. Our nation is better because of him. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences and sympathies to David’s family. May he rest in peace and power.

As a strong supporter of reproductive rights, I was honored to meet with Alexis McGill Johnson, President of Planned Parenthood. With access to reproductive freedoms under attack, we’re committed to fighting for access in every corner of the country.
