Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start! 🌟
Today’s painting session involved more time color-matching and cleaning up a spilled bucket of paint water than actually painting. A true start to the week. 😅
But, I made some good progress on this beautiful scenery and now I can't decide if I sell it or keep for my living room! Where would you hang this in your house?

Another week, another painting started! This post is to give my paint brush a shout out for putting in work.. long past retirement age 😅 Very crusty, dusty, and probably costed 10 cents to buy, it's been used to create the majority of this painting!
Nearly finished, this large painting sure has been fun to work on. Any guesses on the size of it?
A few simple rules to follow when you're painting landscapes! 👇
Always build depth from back to front.
The background stays lighter, softer, and less detailed to push it farther away.
As we move into the foreground, use deeper colors, stronger contrast, and added details to bring it forward!
This gradual shift is what creates distance, atmosphere, and depth in a painting!

Happy New Year’s Eve! What a year 2025 was. Going through my camera roll, it’s been so fun to revisit and remember all the pieces I worked on this past year! While I didn’t paint as much as I originally planned, caring for my kids and growing our family was my highest priority. I’m so grateful for the amazing clients who trusted me to bring their visions to life, and a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported my small business this year!!
I'd love to hear — what was your favorite part about 2025? Your biggest accomplishment, most fun moment, or something you’re especially grateful for?
