🌸 HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Thank you to all the mothers, home mothers, aunties and caregivers who give us a good foundation. Today we celebrate you!

hope // n. a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. These walls, are filled with hope. They are filled with prayer and expectation that certain things will happen in this space. Some people can see hope. Others have to experience it. We're about both. In just a handful of weeks we will be able to pack meals in this space. We'll be able to share the story of our community here in Buffalo who works with a community there in Sierra Leone. We'll welcome volunteers and creatives to our spaces and conference rooms to dream and plan for our city and beyond. We are SO close! Help us get to the finish line! This month, we are proud to honor women past and present from Sierra Leone. After Ebola devastated Sierra Leone, the country struggled with only 80 doctors. They currently have the world’s highest maternal death rate (women not surviving childbirth) and a great need to protect and prevent the under-five population from illness and death. Meet two women who are heroes to us. Matilda and Marion are part of our Medical Health Center staff, providing care to so many women and children. Every week, they help us combat malnutrition through our feeding program on and off campus. We are so thankful for medical professionals who are are helping to sustain life. Let's hear it for these women!
