DID YOU KNOW that the Bryan Noon Lions Club collects used eyeglasses for recycling?

There are 120 million people around the world who have uncorrected vision, which can impact their education and employment. Used eyeglasses are collected locally then shipped to a Lions Clubs International Eyeglass Recycling Center. Volunteers sort, clean, and catalog the prescription strength of each pair of eyeglasses. They are stored until eye care professionals and trained Lion volunteers perform vision screenings during mission activities. Children and adults who need vision correction then receive eyeglasses free of charge.

You can be part of this global mission by dropping off your used eyeglasses at the following local optometrist offices:

UPDATE: Greene Eyes will be CLOSED on Monday, July 8. We have flooding in the office, and phones are down. We will reopen barring further damage on Tuesday, July 9.

Out of an abundance of caution in anticipation of Hurricane Beryl, Greene Eyes will be closed the morning of Monday, July 8 and opening at 1 pm for patient care. We will be closely monitoring the conditions Monday morning and will update here if we believe it prudent to close for the entire day.
