Now launching: Bryan ISD Virtual Academy.

Bryan ISD is excited to introduce a new, tuition-free virtual learning option for students in grades 3–12 who thrive in a non-traditional setting. Beginning in August 2026, the Virtual Academy will offer a rigorous online education with two flexible pathways: Full-Time Virtual [grades 3-12] and Full-Time Hybrid [grades 7-12] (a blend of virtual and in-person learning). Out-of-district transfers are also welcome.

Students will have access to advanced academic courses while staying connected to the full Bryan ISD experience through extracurricular opportunities like athletics, fine arts, CTE, and student organizations.

Admission is based on a review of prior academic records, including grades and STAAR performance. Students requiring specialized services will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Apply today to secure your spot for the upcoming school year. Space is limited.

We wanted to share some exciting news about the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) in Bryan ISD!

As you know, our goal is to continue recruiting, retaining, rewarding, and GROWING top teachers in all areas. Bryan ISD recently learned that the data we submitted for the 2024-2025 school year passed the data test conducted by Texas Tech University! This means we have once again passed this critical milestone in our district’s local designation system.

This year, Bryan ISD recommended 159 new or higher designations (Recognized, Exemplary, or Master). In total, Bryan ISD is now home to 422 TIA-designated teachers! Those who are designated and are currently serving as teachers will have the designation added to their teacher certificate and will receive the corresponding state-funded payout ($3,000-$28,000) in June 2026.

We want to thank the entire Bryan ISD team, as well as the district TIA committee, for all of their hard work over the years to get to this moment! We will release more information as it becomes available.
