Protecting America’s agriculture is no easy task, but Session 146 is ready to rise to the occasion. True to their motto: Secure the lines. With vigilance and integrity.

A special thank you to the session supervisors and their mentor, Deputy Executive Director Suzette Kelly, Agriculture Programs and Trade Liaison, for sharing your invaluable wisdom and experience. The time and knowledge you have imparted will prepare these specialists for successful careers and help safeguard our nation for years to come.

Officer Basic Training Session 738 finished their basic training and graduated on September 11th. For CBP, this date serves as a steady, focused reminder of our daily mission to protect the nation and safeguard our homeland.

A special thank you to session mentor and Acting Executive Director of Admissibility and Passenger Programs, Luis Mejia, for guiding this cohort along their journey. We also recognize the dedicated session supervisors for their leadership and steadfast support in preparing these recruits for the field.

Congratulations once again to our newest officers as they step into the field to carry forward this important work.

On September 3rd, these new officers officially crossed the finish line, marking the start of their service to our nation.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the session supervisors for their dedication and leadership in preparing these officers for the challenges ahead. We also want to thank Session Mentor, Director of Mission Support for the Operations Directorate, Bruce Dodd, for his invaluable wisdom and guidance throughout this journey.

Today, we pause to reflect and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

The CBP Field Operations Academy Honor Guard stands in solemn tribute at the 9/11 memorial at Building 912. This site, which features a steel beam recovered from the Twin Towers, serves as a powerful and enduring reminder of our nation’s resilience and the ultimate sacrifices made that day.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to protecting our country and honoring the memory of those who were taken from us. We will never forget.
