ECC students took their learning outdoors as they traced their own shadows and explored how sunlight creates them. ☀️👣🔍 Through hands-on observation and experimentation, they discovered how shadows change throughout the day, bringing science to life in a fun and interactive way.

In science class, ECC students had the opportunity to observe caterpillars 🐛 🦋 that have formed chrysalises and are now patiently awaiting their transformation into butterflies. Through this hands-on experience, students learned about the butterfly life cycle and witnessed the wonder of growth and change in nature.

Third grade recently celebrated Curl Up and Read Day 🧸📖 with a cozy day devoted to books and the joy of reading. Dressed in pajamas and surrounded by blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, and favorite books, students spent the day relaxing, reading, and sharing stories with classmates. The special event fostered a love of reading while creating warm memories and plenty of literary fun.

On Monday evening, Parents of Alumni gathered at our annual reception for an evening of connection and inspiration. We were honored to hear from Barry Shrage P’96, in conversation with Jennifer Weinstock P’19/‘24, on the importance of Jewish day school education, the enduring legacy of the Rav zt”l, and the role Maimonides and Modern Orthodoxy play in the broader Boston Jewish community. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special evening, and to all our Parents of Alumni who continue to invest in and support our beloved school for generations to come.

The sixth grade Ivrit class had the exciting opportunity to welcome parent and award-winning professor Yonina Eldar for an engaging presentation, “Invisible Waves, Real Superpowers: How Ultrasound and Radar See What Our Eyes Can’t.”🩻Students discovered how technologies like ultrasound and radar allow us to detect what our eyes cannot see, explored the field of electrical engineering, and learned about the many career paths it offers. Dr. Eldar’s interactive presentation sparked curiosity and inspired students to pursue their interests in STEM, encouraging everyone—especially girls—to approach these fields with confidence and enthusiasm.
