In this case study, a manufacturer of automative belt tensioners utilized the Promess REMAP in replacing discrete rotary and linear actuators. The REMAP provided the linear and rotational motion needed for this application. In the end it allowed for coordinated motion control, intelligent force and torque monitoring, automated program storage, safe spring unwinding, and data collection and traceability.
