Take a look back with us at more than a century of history in the heart of downtown Bryan.

From its early days as the Levy Bros. Furniture Store to its iconic Woolworth era and beyond, 206 N. Main Street has long been a cornerstone of Main Street commerce. Today, the building is home to and continues its legacy through a thoughtful historic rehabilitation.

Completed in accordance with Texas Historical Commission and National Park Service guidelines, the project successfully secured state and federal historic tax credits—preserving the past while supporting the building’s future. ✨

History preserved. Workspace elevated.

A recent refresh on the First State Bank and Trust Building in downtown Bryan includes restored historic steel windows with new energy efficient glazing and corporate branded blue LED lighting in historic bronze sconces. The interior refresh includes tailored new carpet throughout and full glass offices on the second floor, embracing lean design concepts. The basement has been re-imagined into an employee lounge, an amenity designed to inspire connection. Grateful for Clients for trusting us with this refresh project!

Preservation with personality.

The Grand Leader serves as a multi-purpose use in Brenham’s Historic Downtown District. We had the privilege of collaborating with Smithdish Architecture to complete this adaptive reuse in 2022, and were recently awarded a 2025 AIA Brazos Design Award for the project’s unique design characteristics.

The Grand Leader, home to Brenham’s own Mescalito Coffee and Ballad of the Bird Dog features an open plan design, uniting both spaces effortlessly and offering modern interventions that are seamlessly introduced to the historic fabric of the building with minimal visual disruption. The front outdoor patio area features an all-glass façade that seamlessly terminates into the building’s adjacent perimeter and steel supports, offering a fully integrated appearance to the main entry. A large, original glass skylight on the interior features a consistent flow of natural light into the retail space.

Rooted in history, revived for community.

Janice Rose Fairlie - Obituary & Service Information 11/06/2025

Facebook asks “what’s on your mind”… Janice Fairlie and her family are on our minds and in our hearts. Janice was the heart of our office for 43 years of loyal, faithful, devoted service. She cared deeply for all and showed that care to her co-workers and our clients. “Let our clients know we care” is in our office culture and it’s because of the example Janice modeled to the 52 employees she worked with over her career. Going above and beyond what was expected was the norm.

She loved and served her church and her God, faithfully. Our prayers are with her family for peace and comfort, along with joy as they remember and celebrate a life well lived.
