Great things happen when local business leaders get in the same room.
This past week, Angelo attended the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Chamber Connections event at Starting Strength Katy and had the opportunity to connect with some incredible people who are helping move our community forward.
A big thank you to Josh Wells and the Starting Strength team for hosting, and to Jackie Rodriguez of Percento Technologies and Alfonso Martinez of Legacy Home Services for the great conversations.
We're so grateful to be part of a community that values relationships, collaboration, and supporting local businesses.
A lot of people either trust AI way too much or refuse to touch it at all.
But one of the smartest perspectives in this conversation is the idea that AI works best when you treat it like a tool to challenge your thinking, refine your ideas, and help you move faster without letting it think for you completely.
That mindset shift changes the way you use it entirely.

For a lot of people, AI stopped feeling strange the moment they started using it consistently.
It’s becoming less like some futuristic concept and more like any other tool we naturally reach for throughout the day, whether that’s Google, our calculator, or our phone.
The advantage usually goes to the people willing to learn how to work with new technology instead of staying intimidated by it.

The people getting the most out of AI usually aren’t using it to avoid human wisdom. They’re using it to go deeper with it.
One of the most interesting parts of this conversation is the idea that AI can help people process ideas more clearly, ask better questions, and get more value out of conversations with mentors, leaders, and experts.
Because even as technology evolves, real wisdom still comes from human experience, nuance, and connection.

Technology is moving faster than ever, but the businesses people remember are still the ones that know how to connect with human beings.
As AI, automation, and high-tech systems continue to grow, trust, communication, and real relationships matter even more, not less.
The companies that forget the people side of growth usually feel it eventually.

Business is changing faster than a lot of leaders know how to handle right now.
The strategies that worked a few years ago don’t always work today, and the companies continuing to grow are usually the ones willing to adapt instead of clinging to what used to work.
The pace of change isn’t slowing down anytime soon, which means leadership has to evolve with it.

A lot of companies are asking how AI can help them cut costs, but the better question is how it can help people grow.
The businesses that survive long term probably won’t be the ones replacing people the fastest.
They’ll be the ones using technology to make their teams stronger, smarter, and more capable.
Because once people start feeling disposable, culture usually starts breaking down too.

Most business conversations today revolve around growth, efficiency, and staying competitive.
This episode asks a different question:
What kind of company are you building while all that growth is happening?
In Episode 2 of The Planify Podcast, Keith Bower shares a perspective on leadership that feels increasingly rare right now, especially in a business world obsessed with speed, automation, and constant optimization.
It’s thoughtful, challenging, and the kind of conversation that stays in your head long after the episode ends.
Episode 2 is now streaming on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
