Mid Course Blues

Small thing, but was very happy to be greeted this week by new billboards for featuring photos I captured for the park. Really made my typically boring drive much more entertaining.

I'm grateful that America's #1 theme park trusts me with their brand, and I've loved every second working with them.

The City's Innaguaral Fan Fest was a blast! It really set the bar for fan engagement. From charming character skits to delicious new treats, every second of the event was filled to the brim with fun. Now that this format is a proven success, I can't wait to see it used for next year's [top secret] announcement.

Some things I did as a creator:
🪓 Listened to live bluegrass
🪓 Cheered as a saloon girl was shot out of a cannon
🪓 Tried a new custom soda debuting next season
🪓 Watched other people enjoy cheesy garlic pretzel bread (*cries in gluten-free*)
🪓 Received a one-of-a-kind certificate of interest in the Marvel Cave Mining Co.
🪓 Toured the construction site of the Silver Dollar City Resort
🪓 Took a few photos

Haven't been on this ride yet. Cedar point staff won't let me take any photos in the line or exit lane. Make it make sense.

Finally made it out of Virginia. What a difficult place to leave, in so many ways.

Certified hit! 🐺🔔 Big Bad Wolf: The Wolf's Revenge is going to be every kid's favorite coaster here. I love the theming along the ride course, and the onboard audio makes the experience so much more thrilling.

And yes, it's smooth.

Young love at a theme park. What better place to discover new feelings?

Give me a space to be terrified and safe. Give me a world teeming with danger, but with soft edges and safety nets. I want to be a child walking through the park again, terrified of what's around the next corner and unable to contain my desire to know.

If i could take pictures like this every time I went to Universal, I'd be a happy man.

What if Rip Ride Rockit was in Islands of Adventure instead of Studios? Despite the stark setting of the ride, I found a bush I really liked and made the most of it.

Been having a hell of a month. But in the middle of it all, I went to Six Flags Over Texas for a few hours and took some of my favorite photos this year.

Tonight I've been thinking about these bright spots. Super grateful to keep unearthing levity in kind of a crappy season.
