Jonathan’s enthusiasm for travel, teaching, and creating meaningful experiences makes every tour unforgettable. He loves helping travelers gain new perspectives, deepen their understanding of the places they visit, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Jonathan shares:

“I think Israel has been the most meaningful destination for me. And the BYU Jerusalem Center in particular. In the Fall of 1988, I was a student at the center. I fell in love with the place and the country. When I returned there with my first tour, I wept to be back there, to sit in the chapel seeing the same vista. It was overwhelming. Getting to go back fulfilled a dream for me.

Rome was another magical place for my wife, Denise, and I. She took a landscaping class at BYU a few years ago. She learned about Tivoli and told herself she would go there one day. We got to visit the gardens on a tour. It fulfilled a dream of hers. Plus, she got gluten-free pizza.

There is no greater feeling in the world than to see someone’s eyes light up with understanding from an insight or perspective you were able to share. I love being in new places with new friends who are experiencing it for the first time. I love that!

It doesn’t really matter that they remember me so much as the feelings they had being on tour. I want them to get home without being able to forget what they experienced in our time together.”
