Fresh, local, and roadside ready! 🍒🌽 Find Skinner Produce in Bountiful (opens June 12), Centerville & Kaysville (by July 1). Open M-Sat 9-7

Open daily through Halloween—stop by and taste the season!

Hundreds of thousands of pounds of fresh fruit are gone after extreme weather wiped out an entire season’s harvest for a Utah County farmer. The loss spans acres of orchards in Santaquin and Genola, where a fourth-generation operation now faces a year without any fruit to pick.

Kent Pyne, who runs Pyne Farms, said there is nothing left to harvest this year. His 53 acres of tart cherries, apple and peach trees—normally full this time of year—are instead bare.

Many of you have probably heard about the hard freeze that hit Utah this year… and unfortunately, it caused major damage to a lot of the local fruit crop. 🍑❄️

We know how much our customers look forward to fresh peaches, cherries, apricots, and other local favorites every season, and honestly, this one hurts. Farmers all across Utah have been affected.

But one thing about Skinner Produce… we’re going to do everything we can to still bring you the BEST fruit possible this summer. ❤️

While the Utah crop will be limited, we’ll be carefully sourcing high-quality fruit from trusted growers in Washington, Colorado, and Idaho to help fill the gap. We’ll still be hand-selecting the freshest, best-tasting produce we can find — because we know that’s what our customers count on us for.

Thank you for supporting local family businesses like ours year after year. Your support means everything to us, especially during difficult growing seasons like this.

We’re looking forward to seeing all of you again soon at the stand! 🌽🍉🍒

We will still be opening around the middle of June just before Father’s Day, but this year will be a challenge with all of our local farmers losing their crops. We’ll be sourcing the best quality as close to Utah as we can get, but it’s going to be an interesting year and I appreciate the support you’ve given me in the past and hope to see you this summer.
Thank you Steve with Pettingills Fruit Farm for the update.

Winter always feels long and cold, especially when you’re missing fresh produce and summer routines. ❄️

Just a reminder that before you know it, the little snow we have will melt, the days will get longer, and we’ll be back at the produce stand serving you again.

Six months will fly by….and we can’t wait to see familiar faces, swap stories, and get fresh produce back into your kitchens. 🌽🍉

Thanks for sticking with us every season. Spring will be here before you know it.
