Hey Everyone! Check out this great interview with local superstar Taylor Knibb from Triathlete Magazine:

Yes, Even Taylor Knibb Takes an Off-Season – Triathlete Next year’s performance depends on what you do—and don’t do— now. Just ask Taylor Knibb. Here’s how one of triathlon’s biggest stars is recovering from her Kona debut and gearing up for the Paris Olympic Games.

History was made in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii as the first-ever women’s-only IRONMAN World Championship unfolded on triathlon’s historic homeland, with Great Britain’s Lucy Charles-Barclay earning the crown in a perfectly executed performance to claim victory in a new course record time of 8:24:31.

Colorado's Taylor Knibb displayed both rookie enthusiasm and also unparalleled bike strength, pushing into third over the opening miles of bike and heading into the run in second. Anne Haug blazed past Knibb around mile 18, moving into second place and Laura Philipp caught the American IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion late in the marathon, running into third place.

Knibb performed extremely well in her Kona and full-distance IRONMAN debut, holding on for fourth in a time of 8:35:56.
