Jolene vs. the faucet: an ongoing saga 💧😅

Fun fact: cats aren’t actually great at drinking water, and it’s not just a Jolene thing. Their ancestors were desert hunters who got most of their hydration from their prey, so modern cats still have a pretty low thirst drive. Translation? They’re biologically wired to not be big water drinkers… even when they probably should be.

But this is exactly how we like it. X-rays (and most vet visits) can be stressful for cats, and a lot of clinics have to move quickly to stay on schedule. We do things differently.

We build in extra time so our patient care team can go at each cat’s pace... with breaks, snacks, and space when they need it. That means we can get the images we need without pushing them past their comfort zone or turning the experience into a fight.

Less stress, more trust, and yes… a lot more snacks 🐾
