Just a few weeks until our concert with Cousin Curtiss on June 28.

Before forming the band, Curtiss O'Rorke Stedman left a teaching career in Alaska to pursue music full-time, while Jordan Harrison Baron, performing as Harrison B, left Tennessee in search of a creative path that eventually led him north.

Their journey helped shape the high-energy roots rock and Americana sound that has earned the duo a reputation for sounding far bigger than two people on stage. Based on Colorado's Western Slope, Cousin Curtiss has been described as blues at bluegrass speed, with the drive and intensity of a full band.

Opening the evening, 5-Foot Betty shares witty, woman-made Americana filled with high-energy musicianship, sharp songwriting and chosen-family charm.

This week on eTown, music and conversation take us from Canada to Texas and beyond with performances from Bahamas and Jess Williamson, plus a conversation with a wildfire expert.

Bahamas performs songs from Bootcut, an album shaped by a period of creative renewal following his move to Nova Scotia and inspired by a deepening connection to country music.

Jess shares songs from her album Time Ain’t Accidental, balancing country roots with a dreamy, atmospheric sensibility.

Plus, eTown host Nick Forster talks with Rod Moraga about the growing challenges of living with wildfire.

Thoughtful songs and meaningful conversation, all week on the radio and podcasts.
