"It is with great sadness to say that in order to align with campus measures regarding the COVID-19 situation, the 2020 International Festival has been canceled.
Effectively immediatly, Chancellor Philip DiStefano announced that all university sponsored gatherings/events with more than 150 attendees would be suspended. Given the nature of IFest as a whole, we agree that it is the best course of action at this time to safeguard the health of both students, faculty, and community members.
Although quite disappointing, we appreciate all the hard work put in by our committee members, booth groups, as well as performance groups that help us make this event the best it can be. It is with our hope that we can make next year's event one to remember for both these groups and the many attendees that choose to come experience the world at our event.
Booth and performance groups will be receiving an email shortly regarding this cancellation.
You will find regular updates about the campus response to coronavirus and ways to protect yourself at colorado.edu/coronavirus" -IFest Committee
