Meet Echo Ellis, our peer mentor at Antelope.
Echo (she/they), is California native.
They are most passionate about music, food, sobriety, and personal growth (both their own and helping others grow).
Echo's interests include video games, collecting records, making DIY clothing, and Sci-Fi or fantasy books/movies (such as Dune and Lord of The Rings).
Echo also loves to attend local punk music shows, if they are not at work that is likely where they will be :),
Echo supports Antelope by serving as a person who can relate our youth and support them as they move through challenges.
Echo joined Antelope after going through residential treatment.
"It truly saved my life. I was very grateful for the staff who would have simple everyday conversations with me and help me to feel seen as myself, as a person."
Echo feels that connection is very important when going through treatment and hopes to serve Antelopes clients in the same way that many mentors did for them.💗

Childhood ADHD is a risk factor for the development of SUD in adolescence, and the complications of diagnosis and treatment are often associated with poor treatment outcomes for teens struggling with these two diagnoses at once.
Three insights our team at Antelope have had when working with these co-occurring disorders:
