Thanks to everyone that came out to 28th Annual Race for the Cookies this past Saturday March 28 🌞 60 paddlers from Bantam to Masters joined us at ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis (Tl' awh-ah-dees) Park in Kenmore for a 2K head race on the Slough , where everyone got a time and a Cookie (or two)! 🍪 We appreciate all the Clubs, Coaches, Athletes, Volunteers and Supporters who helped make this race a success! 🛶Thank you for Permitting use of the Park for our Event 🏞️ Looking forward to a great racing season!

Enjoying some beautiful sunsets on the water the past couple weeks 🌄 can tell the days are getting longer. As we spring into March we look forward to welcoming back our seasonal paddlers March 2 🌱 We'll host our first race of the season Sat March 28 🍪 and registration is open for our learn to paddle summer camps May & June for youth age 10-13 🛶 visit cckrt.org for more info.

✨ Summer Camp Registration Open Now✨
Our team focuses on young athlete development, and we train to compete in regional races, as well as those across the United States and Canada. We offer 4-week intro camps to boys and girls ages 10–13. The only prerequisite is the ability to swim 50 yards and be comfortable in the water. No prior paddling experience is needed and all necessary equipment, including lifejackets, is provided. Registration is open now for either our May or June camp. Some of the top Junior (U18) kayakers are here training with us in Bothell this week. After competing in the Olympic Hopes regatta in Czech Republic last September, we are now focusing on the Junior World Championships in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in July.

Thanks to everyone that came out for the Fall Distance Race at ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis (Tl' awh-ah-dees) Park in Kenmore on Saturday! We couldn't deliver on the sun, but the race was still a shining success! ☀️ 80 registered paddlers showed their skill on the Slough, and we are so grateful to all the Clubs, parents coaches and athletes that helped make this event run smoothly. We had a few changes this year that we hope worked well for everyone. Thanks so much to for allowing use of the Park. Hope to see everyone back in March 2026 at Race for the Cookies 🍪 🌱

Cheer on local athletes at our annual canoe & kayak distance race along the beautiful Sammamish Slough! Paddlers from across the region will compete in 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km events, showcasing incredible skill, endurance, and teamwork.Come watch and learn about this exciting sport!

Congrats to Cascade Athlete and US Team 🇺🇸 member Dexter Barlow for some great racing at the Olympic Hopes Regatta (OHR) in Račice Czech Republic 🇨🇿 this past week. Dexter raced men's U16 K1 500m and 1000m and U17 K4 500m, advancing to B Final in the U16 men's 1000m K1, finishing 5th, an impressive result (14th in the world!) that puts him in a category with some of the best U16 paddlers in the world! Way to represent USA and Cascade Dexter!
