Bothell Professional Firefighters, active and retired, traveled from all parts of the country to convene on Colorado Springs for the IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial where our brother Adam “Lambo” Lamb’s name was placed on the wall. Lambo passed away from job-related cancer in 2025. He joins another brother, Kirk Robinson, on the wall. Both will be dearly missed, forever honored, and never forgotten.

The WSCFF is deeply saddened to share the news from Lacey Fire District Three regarding our Local 2903 Lacey Fire Fighters member, Jake Johnson. Our thoughts are with Jake, his loved ones, our Local 2903 members, and Jake’s broader community.
With heavy hearts, Lacey Fire District 3 mourns the loss of Firefighter Jake Johnson.
Jake was a firefighter, a teammate, and a friend who answered the call to serve others with courage and compassion. His loss is felt deeply by everyone who knew him and served alongside him.
Over the past several days, we have witnessed an extraordinary outpouring of love and support from our community and from people far beyond it. The prayers, messages of hope, and countless acts of kindness shared on Jake’s behalf have been a powerful reminder of the impact he had on those around him and the strength of the fire service family and the communities we serve.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the responding crews from Olympia and Tumwater Fire Departments, and the teams at Providence St. Peter Hospital and Harborview Medical Center who cared for Jake throughout this journey. These dedicated professionals provided extraordinary skill, compassion, and unwavering commitment. The care and kindness they showed Jake and his family will never be forgotten.
Our hearts are with Jake’s family, his loved ones, his friends, and everyone grieving this unimaginable loss. We ask that you continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers and respect their privacy in the days ahead.
Details regarding memorial services will be shared as they become available.
Jake, you will always be remembered as a firefighter, a teammate, and a friend. Our Lacey Fire family will carry you with us.

***Did you know?**
Bothell Professional Firefighters regularly deploy on wildland deployments in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California. These members of our union spend anywhere from one day to 2 weeks straight away from their family and friends while they take on various arduous assignments ranging from directly on the fire line to protecting homes and structures.
When they are gone, the members of our local who are not “deployed” step up to maintain staffing and levels of service within Bothell and Snohomish County Fire District #10 so that the fine citizens within those areas never see a decrease in service.
The skills gained and honed in wildland firefighting and incident management are then brought back to their department ready to serve the citizens.
One of the many ways your Union Firefighters are not only assets locally, but throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Bothell Community!
If you didn't know, the City of Bothell is exploring the idea of annexing into the Shoreline Fire Department Regional Fire Authority. Here is the Notice of Public Hearing for Tuesday, July 7th:
https://www.bothellwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/24179/Public-Hearing-Notice---Regional-Fire-Authority
Alongside this, the City will be looking for citizens of Bothell to join the Pro/Con committee to evaluate and write the statements for the Ballot measure should the resolution pass. Here is the notice for that:
https://www.bothellwa.gov/DocumentCenter/View/24179/Public-Hearing-Notice---Regional-Fire-Authority
Your Bothell Professional Firefighters are Pro-annexation into the Shoreline Fire Department Regional Fire Authority. We have already been working in an Executive Contract for Service with the Shoreline Fire Department (meaning their Chief is our Chief, alongside other Deputy Chiefs) and have worked in close partnership with Shoreline Professional Firefighters Local 1760 leading up to this. We are carefully monitoring the situation to assure that the Bothell taxpayer provides the best value for their tax dollar while maintaining better or more efficient levels of service in the City of Bothell. We know that the Shoreline Fire Department will continue to provide the level of service that citizens of Bothell deserve.
We encourage citizens to reach out to the Local with interest in being on the Pro committee, or any other questions or input on the subject and potential Yes campaign.
Thanks Bothell!
