This is Kameron.

He started in car sales, where he learned quickly that people remember how you make them feel when they’re making a big decision.

The listening matters.
The clear communication matters.
The trust matters.

Now he’s bringing that into home lending, with a team that feels collaborative, energized, and genuinely invested in helping each other grow.

And when Kameron talks about becoming a loan officer, he doesn’t talk about it like it’s just another sales job.

He talks about it like it’s a privilege.

A chance to help people understand the details, feel confident in their options, and make one of the biggest purchases of their lives with someone steady on their side.

That’s the part you can’t really teach.
Welcome to The Collective, Kameron.

It’s a little bit Tetris, a little bit detective work, and a lot of genuinely enjoying the complicated scenarios.

Some of the most interesting work in home lending happens behind the scenes. Asking better questions. Reading every line of program guidelines. Knowing the tools well enough to help a plan come together in a way that actually makes sense.

Because buying a home is personal, and the details deserve to be handled with care.

Most inventory conversations focus on what’s already listed.
This one’s about what’s possible.

A lot of homeowners are sitting on untapped potential without realizing it. Extra lot space that could become rental income, multigenerational living, a smarter move-up strategy, or added long-term value. DADUs are becoming a real part of how people are solving inventory and affordability challenges across Seattle.

We’re sitting down with David Weisser from Backyard ADU to break down what agents should actually know — where DADUs make sense, how to identify good opportunities, what timelines and costs look like, and why these conversations are becoming more important in today’s market.

This is what happens when you hand a loan officer and a mystery object and say, “sell this.”

Melanie did not hesitate.

Was it chaotic? Yes.
Was it convincing? Also yes.

Put a microphone in front of real estate people and ask one ridiculous question at the door.
You'll learn things.

Grateful for our partners and friends who are ready to answer the unexpected and have some fun with it 🫶

Home priorities shift when you’re thinking past the tour.

The morning routine.
The Costco run supplies that have to fit somewhere.
The dog who needs a yard.
The way the house actually lives day to day.

That’s where the features that matter start to separate.

A designer sees both: what gets attention, and what still works years later.

Turns out, standing up straight is not just something your mom said to annoy you.

At The Collective's body language event, agents, LOs, and business professionals shared what they’re taking with them. Better posture. More confident entrances. More intentional exits. A stronger awareness of how they’re showing up before they even start talking.

Small things that make a real difference.

Hustle has its place.

There are seasons where you put in the extra hours, take the late meeting, and create the results you’re working for. And there are seasons where hustle has to fit inside the life you’re building, not take over the whole thing.

We loved that they answered this so differently. Both answers made sense for who they are.

The biggest growth moments (those aha ones) usually happen when we’re listening to people with different perspectives and trusting there’s something to learn from everyone.
