I’ve been a bit mia and honestly mostly spend my time painting, but I requested removal from Spotify and cancelled giving any of my money to them.

I know removing my music from will not matter to Spotify, but it matters to me. It matters to hold people and corporations accountable for their inexcusable behavior and poor choices. We’re seeing the prime “king” example of unchecked power at the head of our country and we have to make tangible, practical changes to say no. Trying to action one of my favorite pieces of life lessons: accountability matters.

What a day it is to be thankful.
Today, our debut album “Ladylike” is officially out in the world.

For the better half of my twenties, I remained in California, even though something deep within me knew I wasn’t where I truly belonged. I moved to Seattle at the end of 2017. A move I had dreamt about since I was 11 years old.

For the first time in my life, I found myself writing music I felt innately connected to, music that had a hint of the bands that made me fall in love with it all in the first place. I was writing music that finally felt like home.

In 2019, I nervously sent a few voice memos to mostly expecting a soft and kind rejection (because he’s the sweetest) or maybe a simple pass along to someone else. I didn’t expect him to see the potential that he saw and I especially didn’t expect him to give any of his much coveted time to begin co-writing what is now our full length album.

I’ve never been this proud of anything I’ve created before. Divorce Care was born out of your classic broken hearted break up story - an “I’ll show you what I can do” vow of resilience. It’s become so very much more than that and has been the most powerful force of life for me, bringing growth, creativity, inspiration, connection and a community unlike any I’ve known.

I’m deeply proud of this record, but I’m even more proud of the friendships I’ve made along the way.

Thank you to everyone who’s played a part in bringing “Ladylike” and this band to life. You have been my favorite part of it all.
