Announcing DEI Certificate

Good News!! Since last spring the School of Education researched, collaborated, and developed a new certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion beginning in January 2023.

The Certificate in DEI at Emmanuel is a flexible, hybrid/online, customized program that prepares participants with the core knowledge needed to work successfully in schools, non-profit agencies, and private industries. The curriculum challenges participants to develop skills that will allow them to think critically, develop effective practices, and build a framework for inclusive leadership for themselves and their organizations. Courses can be taken for PDP or for graduate credit.

Don't miss tonight's episode of Chronicle "Leading Ladies" at 7:30 p.m. on WCVB Channel 5, featuring Emmanuel's own Jamad Fiin '21 G'22. Fiin, an Emmanuel College Women's Basketball alumna, is CEO of Jamad Basketball Camps, a non-profit that hosts basketball training camps for girls. A Somali American who wears a hijab in observance of her Muslim faith, Fiin is also a social media influencer with a growing following of more than 1.1 million on Instagram and 2.1 on TikTok, using her status to break stereotypes and overturn preconceived expectations.

Today the Emmanuel College community remembers those who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks and stands beside those whose lives have been forever changed by that day.

Mass will be held at 7:00 p.m. this evening in the Chapel in remembrance.

Graduates of Northern Essex Community College's Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN) program will now be able to make a seamless transition into Emmanuel College's online Bachelor of Science in Nursing program (RN-BSN) through a new joint admissions agreement between the two schools. #NorthernEssexCommunityCollege #EmmanuelCollege #Nursing #Boston

The 12-credit standalone certificate can be completed in just eight months. Students enrolled in the certificate program also have the option to apply credit hours to Emmanuel’s online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with a concentration in business analytics.

Graduate students in this four-course certificate will complete a comprehensive, applied study of current use of analytics in industry, highlighting application in finance, marketing, and general business settings. Through this coursework offered within Emmanuel’s School of Business & Management, students will make use of both Tableau and Enginius analytics software, deconstructing exemplar scenarios to understand the components which comprise successful projects; as well as construction of applied scenarios in finance, marketing, and areas of student interest.
