Yesterday, EMPath had the privilege of welcoming Secretary Juana Matías of the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities to Horizons.

The Secretary and her team heard the stories of our participants and toured one of our sites, getting a firsthand look at the dedication, perseverance, and joy that make EMPath's work so meaningful.

Thank you, Secretary Matías, for spending time with our community, for ensuring our participants' voices are heard, and for helping families access the support they deserve to build brighter futures.

Last week, MassMutual hosted our Advancement Team at their Seaport location for a planning and team bonding session.

MassMutual's generous support has allowed EMPath to grow and expand its mobility mentoring programs throughout Greater Boston, helping to build financial stability and economic opportunities for people experiencing poverty.

Last week, participants and staff dusted off their creativity caps and gathered for an afternoon of mixing paints and illustrating colorful landscapes at our Horizons site. Check out the results!🎨🖼️

Today marks Black Women's Equal Pay Day, a date symbolizing how far into the year a Black woman working full time must work to earn what a white, non-Hispanic man earned in the previous year alone. 📆💰

Many of our program participants are Black women working every day to overcome barriers and create brighter futures for themselves and their families. 🌤️

We are honored to stand alongside them, providing the coaching, tools, and support as they forge a path toward a more equitable future.👥🏠

There's no better way to kick off the summer than an afternoon in the garden.🌻 Last week, EMPath staff and families teamed up with the Urban Farming Institute of Boston to pot and plant basil and marigolds. After getting their hands dirty, our participants and their little ones enjoyed lunch and a sweet treat from a local ice cream truck.
