It’s Feature Friday! Every Friday, we will meet a cast member leading up to the home performances of our festival show, A Matter of Life and Death. Meet Becca Ford, she plays June:

"I see our season theme (Piloting Adventure) through June's commitment to Peter and the emotional risks she takes to be with him. June, having been a radio operator in the war for several years now, has suffered through traumatic experiences. Her desperation to stop hurting has caused her to build up an emotional wall from the world--one that ends up blocking all emotions. However, when she meets Peter, he somehow breaks down this wall and June falls in love. She spends the show fighting for this love to persist, no matter how scary it might be. June learns to accept all of these emotions: fear, love, confusion, determination, shame, etc. and accepts the adventure that they will take her on."

"Theatre is important to me because it has opened my eyes to so many different perspectives and stories that I will always cherish. Through my training here, I have acquired a deeper understanding of what it means to truly be vulnerable, the complexity of emotions, and how special it is to affect an audience with what you present. I am so grateful to be able to share such beautiful stories through Proscenium Circus’s productions and I cannot wait to keep learning and growing with this company."

Some of my favorites from last weekend’s shoot with Christina Marcantonio (designer and photographer) and Nicole Wenstrom (makeup/hair). Clothing was made entirely from recycled materials by Christina Marcantonio for The Outloud Collection.
