Old North's 2026 Lantern Service was a grand occasion, with a stirring address by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde. It was encouraging to see the church so full of people of many backgrounds committed to the very best ideals of our nation and the ongoing work of creating a more perfect union. The professionally filmed and edited video is now available on our YouTube channel. //www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQoXY3nqxfw

We enjoyed a grand and full day at Old North--sunlit worship with glorious Easter music, followed by a forum with art conservator Gianfranco Picobene who restored our 18th century cherubs hidden since 1912, and then a 1723 Club young adults potluck lunch.
Join us at Old North today as we welcome art conservator Gianfranco Pocobene who will share his insights on this incredible project (now completed) which uncovered 20 cherubs painted in the gallery arches. The forum will immediately follow our 11 am service in the gallery.

Alleluia! Christ is risen. Boston's oldest church sang and shouted with joy at Easter. Old North was full as nearly 500 people joined a vicar, three deacons, music director, choir and guest brass musicians for worship on Easter Day with beautiful music, spring flowers, inspiring readings, and a sermon on the Living Christ meeting us where we are. All followed by an Easter Egg hunt and a full peal on the oldest set of change-ringing bells in North America. The Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia!

Join us at the Old North Church in Boston for our 2026 Lantern Service on April 17 at 7 pm, with keynote address by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of Washington, DC. As we recall the lantern signal from the church in 1775 on the eve of the American Revolution, we will reflect simulanteously on the themes of faith, freedom, and democracy today.
