It’s funny… being super young like 17 getting introduced to the industry, I looked to more older, seasoned industry professionals for advice. Anyone who had more experience than me, I wanted to hear from. They told me a lot of things. Some I followed, some I didn’t. But one thing I always remember people telling me is when you have real momentum on your music, you don’t have to drop as much. In fact, you shouldn’t. because you should let the current records live and not divert the people‘s attention to something brand new. Now that we’re at 10 million monthly listeners.. and the new song ‘Methane Gas’ is my currently most streamed song other than the Indian soundtrack songs.. I want to say… F**K THAT ADVICE. I know what it’s like to have no momentum.. trust me… so now that we here, I’m FLOODING. Single number 2 dropping tmr at noon est. it’s fu***ng time!!!!! Love you guys so much.

Today, we hit 10 million monthly listeners on spotify. In hindsight, the concept of calling any rapper corny because they really CARE about rapping well is insane. I fell in love with rap when I was 5 and it’s the only thing I know. The root of all my music is just a kid trying to share his story and prove he’s good enough for a culture that he was an outsider of, but a lover of. That could never be corny. Mainstream success has always been a goal but right now, I’ve never been so confident that we are able to do this OUR WAY. Fully independent. New single next week.
