Left my heart in Los Angeles UCLA The first step Kennedy took toward me as a child
is now the first step she’s taking away.
I know she’ll be okay.
We raised her for this—for independence, courage, and a life of her own. But knowing that doesn’t make it easier to watch her grow up and stand on her own.
My heart feels the tug because she matters so much.
And wherever she goes, whatever comes next,
I’ll still be her biggest fan. So I made this poem for you.
The Strength We Gave Her
We taught her how to reach,
then let her find her way.
We held her through the growing,
then loosened our embrace.
She carries more than luggage—
she carries all we’ve shown:
that strength can look like leaving,
and courage can feel like home.
So go, my girl, go boldly.
The world is yours to see.
You may be walking from me,
but you’ll always walk with me.
Plot twist: the goal was never to work every weekend. building a successful real estate business should also mean building a life you have time to enjoy.
