Recently, staff from Pine Street's iCaterBoston partnered with Boston Area Gleaners to cater their June Food Day event at Stonefield Farm. Food insecurity and homelessness often go hand in hand. We were thrilled to celebrate community, support food security and promote our mission of ending homelessness.

iCaterBoston trainees learned some pie-making skills firsthand from Fran Kolenik, owner and head baker at Drive By Pies in Brookline! Join us in congratulating iCaterBoston trainee Dea, who recently accepted a new job with Brigham and Women's Hospital. Throughout her iCater training, Dea was an outstanding trainee who worked to be a positive role model for her entire iCater class. Ring that bell, Dea!

Massive thanks to the community who supported the event of graduation, including community partner , who made the event possible. Congratulations to all graduates, with a special shout out to Andre who was honored by his award. “I had no idea Alice went and did that!” he said with a grin.

iCater trainees all have the capability to succeed before joining the program, but often are not getting the support and resources they need. The team at iCater works with trainees to open doors to opportunities that may have been out of reach due to any number of barriers they face. Alyssa here advocates for herself by asking for advice or resources when she’s not sure.
