Heaven's Harvest Farm | Organic CSA 01/10/2018

Hello food-loving friends —

In case you haven’t heard, Slow Food partners with local Heaven’s Harvest Farm to provide a CSA farmshare on campus. This is basically a surprise box of mixed veggies in one of three sizes. You could get fresh produce delivered to school EVERY WEEK! Imagine how much time you could save on groceries! This program benefits not only you by providing delicious and cost-effective food, but also helps out a local, sustainable farm.

However, we need your help to SAVE THE CSA! In order for the CSA to continue at Northeastern, our farmer needs about 10 more people to sign up. If you’re already convinced, check out his website at heavensharvestfarm.com. Due to a slightly late start, this CSA season will only be 8 or 9 weeks, depending on how soon you sign up. If you want more details, head over to Slow Food’s website (slowfoodnu.wordpress.com) or contact Francesca Brecha ([email protected]).

One more thing — the farmshare is really only recommended if you have your own kitchen to prepare the veggies in, as they will often go to waste otherwise.

Stay warm,
Your Slow Food E-Board
