WALL-E lives!
The team made it to Houston this morning safe and sound. We will be testing on Tuesday and sharing the experience with you via an Instagram takeover with ! Make sure to tune in!
05/22/2019
The motors that drive WALL-E's motion are housed inside an acryllic shell. Signals are sent from these motors to a "black box" that houses a small computer called a Raspberry Pi. Our team has developed a program on this computer that controls the motors and provides a user interface (UI). Through the UI, the operator can precisely manipulate the positions of each finger while also viewing a live feed from a camera on WALL-E's palm so they can see its movement in real time.
11 days until Houston!

Happy Friday followers!
It's been a minute since we've updated all of you on what we've been up to. We still have a lot of work to do before we're ready to show you our device, but while we've been working on that we've also been heavily focused on our outreach.
Our most recent event was on Feb. 28th when we helped put on Aerospace Day here at our campus that included a talk from retired astronaut Steve Swanson. We were able to record this talk to share it for anyone to hear Steve's story so check it out below!
Going forward, we are reaching a point where we'll have plenty to showcase from our work and outreach so be sure to check back with us here and on Instagram. Thank you to everyone who has followed us up to this point! We sincerely appreciate you!
