This month, we celebrate the compassion, dedication and resilience of social workers everywhere. Social workers play a vital role in supporting individuals, families and communities—often stepping in during the most challenging moments to offer hope, guidance and advocacy.

Their valuable contributions are recognized not only during National Recreation Therapy Month but throughout the entire year.

The Black Excellence Gala 2026, hosted by the Idaho Black Community Alliance (IBCA), celebrates Black visionaries who have shaped Idaho's legacy.

On Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Jack's Urban Meeting Place, an elegant evening featuring live entertainment, dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and a special program honoring Black history and local pioneers will be held, brought to you by the Idaho Black Community Alliance (IBCA).

During Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, Love Is Respect, a program of the National Domestic Violence Hotline, will host events and share resources on teen dating violence. This year’s theme, “Real Love Respects,” was chosen by Love Is Respect’s National Youth Council to focus on one core truth: Respect is non-negotiable in a healthy relationship. During Children of Alcoholics Awareness Week, we have a meaningful opportunity to shed light on the impact of addiction, confront the silence and stigma surrounding it and encourage positive action. This week serves as a reminder to acknowledge the unique challenges faced by children growing up in households affected by alcohol addiction and to offer them the understanding, support and healing they deserve.
