We help down-to-earth couples plan modern weddings with thoughtful and sustainable details.

Alexander Weston Mir made his arrival early in the morning on June 3rd, at a sturdy 8lb 11oz and 22in. We’re so in love and our little family feels complete 🩵

(Almost) out of office with a tiny new boss🍼
My due date is just around the corner, and I’ll be headed out on maternity leave very soon! While I won’t be in fully plugged in, I will be checking emails here and there – so if you’re reaching out about planning services or something time-sensitive, I’ll do my best to get back to you soon!
For everything else, I’ll be back in office early July and will reply then.
Thank you for your patience and support during this sweet new season🩵

That “can you believe we’re married?” feeling…
The BEST kind of moment on your wedding day! Hire a coordinator so you can actually be in it. 🫶🏼

Let’s talk about an unsung hero of your wedding day: the bustle on your dress.
A good bustle keeps your train up so you can dance, move, and enjoy the night without tripping into your cake or needing heavy-duty safety pins during dinner (although if that happens, don’t worry – I’ve handled a few bustle rescues).
A few quick tips for success:
🧵Ask your seamstress about the type of bustle that best suits your dress – it’ll depend on your fabric, silhouette, and train length. A one-point American bustle is simple and elegant, but it won’t hold up with a heavier train.
🧵Assign a “bustler” who can come with you to your final fitting to take photos/video and handle the bustle on wedding day. Your coordinator will assist, but things move faster if someone already knows what’s what!
🧵Build time for bustling into your timeline. Depending on complexity, it can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. Cocktail hour is a great time since it’s usually post-photos and pre-dance floor!
A beautiful bustle (like the French bustle pictured) isn’t just functional, it lets you float through your first dance (which this couple did) and the rest of the night without a worry!

Hi, I’m Caitria 👋🏼
(KAY-tree-uh, if you’re wondering - no hard feelings if you said it wrong in your head.)
It’s been a minute since I introduced myself here, and this snazzy new photo from Ostendo Photography gave me the perfect excuse!
I’m the planner and owner of Verdant Events, which I founded four years ago out of a love for events, planning, design, nature, and all the little details that make a wedding feel effortless. My background is in hospitality – I got my start over twelve years ago working in Colorado ski town hotels and resorts, and I’ve been in love with events ever since.
I offer full-service planning, coordination, and design with an eco-friendly approach. I enjoy working with down-to-earth couples who want a modern wedding that’s beautiful, true to them, and kind to the environment.
A few fun facts about me:
🌿 I’m a triplet (yes, three of us, and no, we don’t look alike)
🌿 I have a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo
🌿 I studied Crafts/Fibers in college and still love making art when I can
🌿 I love road trips, especially the outdoorsy/camping kind, and have visited 41 states so far!
🌿 I’ve hiked eleven fourteeners (mountains over 14k feet in elevation) in Colorado
🌿 I bartended for nearly a decade and still enjoy mixing drinks
🌿 If your DJ plays I Love It by Icona Pop, I’ll join you on your dance floor
🌿 I’m a mom to a sweet one-year-old girl, Annika – with a baby boy on the way!
Whether you’re planning your wedding or a vendor friend, I’m really glad you’re here. 🫶🏼

Your wedding day will fly by – FAST. Between hugs, happy tears, and a million “congrats,” it’s easy to get swept up and realize…you haven’t even seen your partner all day.
So, let’s build in some intentional, just-the-two-of-you moments. Here are a few favorites:
🤍 Morning coffee together
🤍 First look or first touch
🤍 Private vows or letters
🤍 Post-ceremony moment alone (snacks + a “we did it” toast!)
🤍 Sweetheart table
🤍 Golden hour photos
🤍 Private cake cutting
🤍 Private last dance
Planning your day with intention starts early – what moments are you making space for? Or, if you're already married, what do you wish you'd done differently?

B+N’s table design was clean and minimal; yet warm, inviting, and intentional. Thoughtful details like textured napkin rings, soft candlelight, and vintage glassware added just enough depth without overwhelming the table. The florals featured a mix of bold and delicate blooms and greenery, keeping the look organic and effortlessly stylish.
Would you go for a simple, elegant setup like this or something more elaborate?
