"Marcia is part dog-whisperer, part trainer, part vet and 100% caring service provider. She has been taking care of my Luna for the better part

It’s August 1st and there are still 54 dogs on the property in Ensenada that was once the home of the founder of that scam rescue we helped the Mexican government shut down 2 years ago. On July 6th, it was raided and 298 dogs were found on the property. Since that day, rescue groups have come together in incredible ways to bring many of these dogs to safety. At the beginning, we came here to Team Social Media and asked for your help in getting the word out to rescues, and also in raising funds to be able to cover the many expenses that come with saving dogs in these conditions.

From the $13,000.88 raised, we have (so far) spent a total of $12,782.79, solely on anything and everything for these dogs. Your donations have helped a long list of rescues who have taken in any number of these dogs, with their intake exams and immediate medical care. Your donations have helped send dogs on transport to Northern California and beyond, to brand new lives. Your donations have helped dogs be independently adopted here in San Diego. Your donations have helped cover training for some of these dogs, coming out of an environment that did them no favors. Your donations have funded spays and neuters for SO many of these dogs, as almost all were unsterilized and reproducing inside this hell of a place. Your donations have helped with wound care for dogs when fights broke out, because there were just too many in one place. Your donations are actively working to save a dog who is fighting distemper and has been hospitalized for recovery, but is doing fantastic. Your donations have helped save many of these lives and have given them, and us, hope.

On July 11th we were told the government would only support this “project” for another 7 days. And today, 21 days later, they are still there, still showing up and still allowing these dogs a fighting chance. I strongly believe that is because of the amount of support that has poured in for them. Please don’t let it fade now. Our involvement in this rescue mission has been forced to become extracurricular, as we have so much of our own going on. But we can’t and won’t forget about them.

54 dogs. Please keep getting them seen. 08/10/2025

🐾💔BETRAYED BY HIS FAMILY💔🐾
Can you imagine not feeling too well and being a 14 year old senior dog in a home with your family who promised to love and care for you when suddenly they put you outside and called the police animal control department to report you as a stray? And then when an officer arrived and saw you continuing to try to go into your house the family who you loved dearly denied knowing you.

Well that is what happened to poor Duke. He was betrayed by his family at a time in which he needed them the most because once in the care of our friends at Eastpointe Police Animal Control Division they quickly realized that not only was he microchipped to the person who reported him as a stray but also that he was very sick and needed urgent medical care.

As things often happen we were in the right place at the right time and once we heard Duke's story we stepped up to sponsor Duke's medical care and he was immediately transported to an emergency veterinary hospital for care where he has tested positive for Lyme's disease and in addition to that he has some concerning bloodwork.

We know that the City of Eastpointe has ZERO TOLERANCE for animal neglect/abandonedment/abuse and we are confident that there will be serious legal consequences for Duke's abandonment.

At this time our number one concern is making sure that Duke gets all the medical care he needs to recover so that he will have the opportunity to live in a home with a family that truly loves and cares for him.

To donate towards Duke's care please click on this post or you can go to Detroitpitcrew.com or through our Cash App $Detroitpitcrew.

Checks can be mailed to:
-Detroit Pit Crew
P.O. Box 3111
Center Line, MI 48015

Thank you to everyone who stands with us on behalf of the voiceless!

We will keep everyone updated on Duke's condition as we receive more information from his medical team.
