What is “mother”?

From the very first sounds an infant makes — the cooing, the pursing of tiny lips searching for expression — somehow we already know… “she” is coming.

And with her comes beauty.
Comfort.
Nurture.
Safety.
Connection.
Dignity.
Life itself carried in her bones.

I’ve never seen another woman sacrifice herself on the altar of motherhood the way does. She is a force — like the current of the Mississippi — gentle to the eyes yet with depths hidden far below the surface.

I marvel at how she continues to love and serve our family with the joy of Jesus, even when it costs her own comfort. Most days, I wish I were more like her.

We are the Ehrenzeller family because of her fierce dedication to connecting with our hearts. Not a day passes where she doesn’t make every one of us feel seen, heard, and deeply loved simply for who we are.

Whether in front of the crowd or quietly behind the scenes, she leads. Always. And her little lambs know the sound of their mama shepherd’s voice, faithfully guiding them toward green pastures.

What is “mother,” you ask?

I know it because I see it everyday in her. She’s the one who laughs at the days to come. ❤️

If you know me, you know I don’t just warm up my hands… I warm up my perspective.

One of my favorite songs to kick off a guitar session is Satellite by .

There’s something about that melody that just pulls you in. The 3/4 time signature (that almost feels like 6/8) creates this circular, orbiting motion — which is perfect, because the whole song paints the picture of being a satellite looking down on the earth. That metaphor always hits me. So much of life is lived from ground level… but I’m constantly asking God to lift my view higher. To see beyond the moment. To live from a heavenly perspective instead of just an earthly one.

And musically? It’s a workout.
Your fretting hand doesn’t get a break. The rhythmic flow stretches your timing. Your strumming arm has to stay locked in. It wakes everything up — fingers, wrists, shoulders. It’s one of those songs that builds both feel and endurance.

If you play guitar, give it a try as a warm-up and see what it does for you.

What songs do you love to warm up with? Drop them in the comments — I’m always looking for new orbit patterns. 🚀

There’s a kind of breakthrough that doesn’t come from striving… it comes from surrender.

I’ve watched giants collapse just by whispering the name of Jesus. I’ve felt mountains move the moment I stopped carrying what was never mine to hold.

This song, Hercules, is my reminder that it’s not my strength, not my fire, not my might.
It’s His Spirit… steady, faithful, undefeated.

If this resonates with your heart, let me know below.
Let’s trust Him again.

My new song “Hercules” is officially out on YouTube.
If you’ve ever tried to be strong for everyone… and found yourself breaking, this song is for you.
It’s about surrender, weakness, and discovering the strength only God can give.
Go watch the full live session.

“Hercules” is out now on my channel. Brand new song (like days old) recorded in one take at . Raw and real.

It’s a song about surrender… about finally admitting we can’t carry the weight of the world on our own. Honestly I think could really do this song justice.

I wrote this around the idea of breaking and rebuilding — the moment you realize you’re not the hero of your story… Jesus is.

If this speaks to you, let me know in the comments.
