Inteccon
For over 25 years, Inteccon has been leading the way in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental solutions.
Trusted across five continents, It specializes in advanced monitoring instruments, ensuring the highest standards in safety and environmental management. From sound and vibration to air quality monitoring, our cutting-edge technology protects what matters most.
More than a month has passed since the magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Colombia on August 10, with its epicenter in San José del Palmar, Chocó. The news cycle has moved forward, but for many of the families affected, rebuilding their lives is still very much a present reality.
That’s why Inteccon decided this was the right moment to act.
Led by our VP of International Sales, Wilson Rodriguez, we made a donation to Fundación FASEMA Colombia, helping support their efforts to reach families in Chocó who continue to need assistance.
FASEMA is a nonprofit organization that works to foster human development through education, sports, culture, environmental initiatives, recreation, and the arts, with a particular focus on children and young people.
For us, Protect What Matters has never been only about the technologies we provide or the industries we serve. It’s also about recognizing when people and communities need support, even after the cameras have moved on.
Because recovery doesn’t end when the headlines do.

A rack runs hot. The reflex is to lower the setpoint for the whole room, which raises the energy bill for a problem confined to a few square meters.
Most hot spots are not a cooling capacity problem. They are a distribution problem. The CRAC units are delivering, but the air is not arriving where the load is. Perforated tiles opened in the wrong places, bypass through unsealed cutouts, recirculation over the top of a partial containment.
None of that is visible until someone measures what each tile actually delivers.
The AccuBalance 8380 captures airflow directly at perforated tiles and diffusers, reading from 42 to 4,250 m³/h within ±3%. Its back pressure compensation matters here specifically, because a capture hood placed over a high velocity tile alters the very flow it is trying to measure unless that effect is corrected.
Tile by tile, the map of where your cooling is actually going stops being an assumption.

A blast is over in seconds. The complaint that follows can take months to resolve, and by then the only version of events that exists is the one written by whoever was standing outside the fence.
Air overpressure travels well beyond the pit. It rattles windows, it gets described as an explosion, and it becomes a record in a file that shows up again during the next permit review.
The SV 810 measures what actually happened. Peak readings up to 168 dB across a frequency range of 2 Hz to 250 Hz, in full compliance with the ISEE Blasting Seismograph Standards 2022, with real-time FFT analysis and audio recording on demand.
At 270 grams with up to 8 hours of autonomy and 8 GB of integrated memory, it deploys as a single-point meter or as one node alongside SV 803, SV 804 and SD 311 systems, depending on how much of the perimeter needs covering.
The blast is the shortest part of the story. The record is what lasts.

Fixed gas detection is only half the system. The other half is whether the alarm reaches the person who needs to act on it.
In a process unit, that person is rarely near a control panel. They are on a walkway, behind a column, inside a maintenance envelope, wearing hearing protection. A signal on a screen does not reach them.
The ATEX beacon light turns detection status into something visible across the unit. Certified for zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 with IP65 protection, it uses 78 ultra-bright RGB LEDs to indicate atmospheric status at a distance, and its Modbus-controlled relay can trigger a siren or an additional device alongside it.
It installs as a direct replacement for existing ATEX traffic lights, so upgrading visibility does not mean rebuilding the system.
Detection tells the system. The beacon tells the people.

Residents near data centers are buying sound meters and posting what they find. The measurements are informal, the conclusions are not, and by the time they reach a public hearing the operator is responding to someone else's number.
The SV 307A changes what you bring to that conversation. It is the world's first Class 1 monitoring station with a MEMS microphone to receive PTB type approval, which matters because a type approved instrument is the one an authority cannot dismiss.
Built for permanent outdoor installation, it runs five to six days on internal battery with a solar option, transmits over 4G with GPS synchronization, and streams live audio to SvanNET so a level and its source can be reviewed together. A patented dual verification system checks the measurement in real time through a microphone array and raises an alarm if it detects a discrepancy, so the record verifies itself.
Chillers, cooling towers and generator testing all cross the property line. Knowing exactly how much, and when, is what turns a complaint into a conversation you can have.
You are not disputing someone else's number. You are presenting your own.

A single particle landing on a wafer at the wrong moment produces a defect. Enough of them and the yield number for that lot tells the story after the fact, when there is nothing left to correct.
Classification protects the cleanroom itself. What sits around it moves constantly: gowning rooms, airlocks, pass-throughs, tool hookup zones during install. Those spaces feed the cleanroom, and between scheduled certifications nobody is looking at them.
The AeroTrak 9303 puts that check in the hands of whoever is already walking the floor. It counts from 0.3 to 25 µm and reports three particle sizes at once, with a middle channel selectable at 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 or 2.5 µm depending on what matters in that area. It complies with ISO 21501-4 and is calibrated with NIST traceable PSL spheres, so the reading holds up when it needs to be documented.
At 1.3 lbs with 4.5 hours of continuous use and 1,500 sample records stored on board, it goes where the question is rather than waiting for the question to come to the instrument.
Yield problems are traced backwards. Particle counts are what make that trace possible.

Every flow measurement in a controlled environment rests on a reference. The mass flow controller, the sampling pump, the instrument being verified before a run. If that reference has drifted, nothing downstream is defensible, and the drift is invisible until an audit finds it.
The DryCal 800 is a primary standard with direct, defensible traceability to NIST. It measures gas flow instantly through a touchscreen interface that requires little training, which means calibration is not restricted to one person on the team.
Its design is built around interchangeable cells on a single base, covering 0.5 sccm to 100 slm. One standard handles the ultra-low flows of a particle counter and the higher flows of a sampling pump, with ±0.15% standardized accuracy across the Low, Medium, High and Ultra High cells. That makes it over four times more accurate than most mass flow controllers, so calibrating them in house becomes a real option instead of an outsourced line item.
When service is due, Mesa Labs is the only laboratory in North America able to repair and adjust the instrument, in an ISO 17025 lab accredited by NVLAP of NIST.
The instrument everything else is measured against should be the one you trust most.

Benzene has one of the strictest occupational exposure limits in a refinery, and the number that proves compliance is not produced by a single instrument. It comes from a chain, and the chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
It starts with the pump. The GilAir Plus draws air from the worker's breathing zone for a full shift, and because it is intrinsically safe under Class I Div 1 and ATEX, it can be worn inside the process unit rather than at its edge.
The v***r is captured in the tube. Sorbent tubes with two sections of coconut shell charcoal meet NIOSH specifications, and the second section exists precisely to reveal breakthrough, telling the lab whether the sample can be trusted at all.
Then comes the part that is easiest to skip. Concentration is mass divided by volume, and volume comes from flow. The Gilibrator 3 verifies that flow within 1% of reading, with a low flow cell covering the range benzene sampling actually runs in.
The lab reports a mass. Everything that turns it into a defensible exposure figure happened before the sample was ever sent.

Under MSHA's respirable silica rule, the gravimetric sample is what counts. But it goes to a lab, and the result comes back days later. By then the shift is over, the task has been repeated, and any exposure that occurred is already in the past.
The Gilian Dustlight closes that gap. Worn on the miner, it reads respirable dust in real time and shows the result through a traffic light system with audible alerts, so a high-exposure task gets identified and corrected during the shift rather than after the report.
Its default dust profile is built for mixtures containing quartz and crystalline silica. It logs respirable dust along with PM1, PM2.5, PM4 and PM10, exports through the mobile app for trend analysis, and runs up to 40 hours in a 149 g device.
It does not replace gravimetric sampling. It tells you what the sample is going to say, while there is still time to do something about it.

A respirator is certified as a product. The seal is not.
Face shape, facial hair, how the straps were tightened this morning, whether the person turns their head or talks on the job. All of it changes how much contaminated air gets past the edge of the mask, and none of it can be assumed from the model or the size on the box.
The PortaCount 8040 measures it directly. Using microscopic particles already present in ambient air, it compares the concentration outside the mask with the concentration inside while the subject moves and breathes, and returns a fit factor from 1 to over 10,000.
It meets OSHA, CSA, HSE and ANSI requirements for respirators with filters of 99% efficiency or greater. Real-Time FitCheck mode shows the wearer how the seal responds as they adjust the mask, which turns a pass or fail into a training moment. And with mask sampling adapters, the test runs on the employee's own respirator rather than a shared one.
Certification tells you the equipment works. A fit test tells you it works on this person.
