If you’re replying to work communications outside normal hours, that time may count as overtime and you may be owed unpaid wages.

Know your rights. Even quick replies after hours can add up and should be paid if they’re work-related.

Case Update: Brown v. Equity Prime Mortgage, LLC, No. 25 Civ. 1832 (N.D. Ga.)

Shavitz Law Group has filed a Motion for Conditional Certification on behalf of Underwriters who allege Equity Prime Mortgage misclassified them as salary-paid/exempt and denied them overtime pay, despite federal law requiring that they be paid overtime wages for hours worked over 40 based on the job duties they performed.

The Motion asks the Court to allow the case to move forward as a collective action, giving other eligible, current and former Underwriters the opportunity to join and assert their own claims for unpaid wages against Equity Prime Mortgage.

âś… Several Underwriters have already joined, sharing their experiences in support of the Motion.
⚖️ We now await the Court’s decision once briefing is complete.
