This month, we welcomed Leadership Boca to The Boca Raton Airport for Economic Development Day. It was a great opportunity to share what goes on behind the scenes here at our Airport, from our day-to-day operations to the broader economic impact general aviation has on our community.

The group gained firsthand insight into the important role BCT plays in supporting business activity throughout Palm Beach County and the greater South Florida region.

The afternoon was a celebration of the leaders, businesses, and organizations that continue to make an impact across the Boca Raton community through innovation, resilience, and service.

A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) will be in effect from May 1st to May 2nd.

During this time, some aircraft may divert from Palm Beach International Airport to nearby airports, including Boca Raton, resulting in a temporary increase in business jet activity.

The FAA will adjust flight paths, potentially leading to increased overflights in some communities.

Congratulations to our Operations Coordinator, Leonel Romero, on earning his Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Operations certification through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE)!

This certification is a significant achievement that highlights Leonel’s expertise and commitment to excellence in airport operations. The program focused on key areas essential to effective airport management, including:

• Airfield Operations and Safety
• Airport Security
• Emergency Management
• Regulations and Compliance
