With more than 34 years of experience caring for children, Dr. Samuels brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and a family-centered approach to pediatric care.

Throughout his career, he has provided preventive, hospital, urgent care, and developmental and behavioral pediatric services, always focused on helping children thrive.

🎆 **Fireworks are exciting. Safety should be too.**

The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate with family and friends, but it's also one of the busiest times of year for preventable injuries.

Here are a few simple ways to help keep your child safe:

✨ Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
✨ Keep children a safe distance from all fireworks.
✨ Never allow kids to light or handle fireworks, they can reach temperatures over **2,000°F**.
✨ Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby if fireworks are being used.
✨ Talk with older children and teens about the importance of following safety rules and never relighting a firework that doesn't go off.

If your child experiences a burn or eye injury, seek medical care right away.

📱 Under 18–24 months — no screen time at all (video calls with family are the exception)!
🌙 All ages — screens within 1 hour of bedtime block melatonin production, making it significantly harder to fall asleep and stay asleep
😤 The bedtime battles you're fighting? A screen-free wind-down routine is one of the most effective ways to end them

You don't have to do it perfectly. Start with one night. Move the charger out of the bedroom. Put on an audiobook instead. Small shifts make a real difference.
