Sometimes there is a tendency to be so critical and harsh, or judgmental and mean, to the parts of ourselves that just want/need love and tenderness to heal.
Underneath the more superficial defense mechanism of our mind.. unconditional interest, curiosity, and softness towards ourselves is the true medicine that may actually begin to shift our experience
This is so perfectly expressed and relatable!
Use this acupressure technique anytime, anywhere to relax your body and mind, let go of the stress of the day, or even the moment. Think of this technique when you encounter anything that causes you to guard yourself, when something or someone crosses a boundary, or you get contracted in any way. Do a minimum of 7, and as many as 7 sets of 7. Take a deep breath after and see how you feel!

Dancing, playing, hugging, laughing, singing, crying… these are part of our physiology and so tied to our wellbeing. There’s so much emphasis placed on how to optimize our physical bodies, sleep, and nutrition and it’s all so important. But deeply related and integral as well is connecting to playfulness, love and connection.
Joy is health❤️🔥

Health is multifaceted and influenced by so many things, including the weather.
Chinese medicine refers to the lungs as the “delicate organ”. They are the first poınt of contact with the environment.
My hope is that these simple tools can offer some practicality and solace to those who are affected by these difficult conditions🤍

If your drinks are half ice cubes…don’t hate me🫣
General rule of thumb is-
A womb that is warm has great blood supply nourishing the reproductive organs making it a cozy, safe, hospitable environment for implantation.
A womb that is cold tends to contract and constrict, slowing down vital circulation and making it more difficult for a new life to take root and find nourishment
Things to start shifting your focus to:
☀️❤️🔥☀️❤️🔥
Eliminate ice- room temp water
Reduce cold raw food- consume warm, cooked meals
Keep your feet and body warm as much as possible- socks, evening foot soaks
Avoid sitting on cold surfaces /exposing your low abdomen, low back, and thighs to cold during your period (even swimming)

Memories from the, “Treating Chronic Pain” workshop with Dan and Crystal back in May, such a great day at the
One of the many beautiful things about this model of medicine is the understanding that the body is not separate from all of the dimensions of the self. This means that treating chronic pain allows us to simultaneously treat other long standing patterns, like emotional states and ways of being that keep pain mobilized in the tissues

From knowing, to not knowing
Our minds are evolutionarily designed to want to know. In the face of not knowing, our minds often tend to experience fear or anxiety. In an effort to try and quiet the discomfort that arises, we generate a wide range of content, aka, we make stuff up.
In Chinese medicine, we say that wisdom is cultivated to the degree that we can experience ease in the face of the unknown
I don’t know, yet
