STEM CELLS AND EXOSOMES FOR PAIN, ORTHOPEDIC CONDITIONS AND WOUND CARE
Are you struggling with relentless joint pain all over your body? Trying all the lower back pain relief products out there to no avail? Desperately working to avoid torn meniscus surgery and the hospital rehab that comes with it so that you can save vacation days and spend time with your family?
It’s time to discover regenerative medicine.
Regenerative medicine is the discipline that works to replace or "regenerate" human cells in damaged, degenerating tissue or organs to restore normal function.
When injured or diseased, our bodies have the innate response to heal and defend. Science has harnessed the power of the body to accelerate healing in a clinically relevant way.
Regenerative Medicine strives to restore the structure and function of permanently damaged tissues and organs and to address previously untreatable dysfunctions by tapping natural growth factors in human blood via PRP Therapy, Stem Cell Therapy, and Prolotherapy. We evaluate each patient individually to determine if regenerative therapy is a good option for their condition.
If you’re seeking back pain relief, haven’t found relief doing wrist tendonitis exercises, and are looking for a way to potentially avoid that time-consuming musculoskeletal surgery, you need a regenerative medicine specialist with patience and compassion. You need to schedule an appointment with Dr. Borenstein by calling Manhattan Integrative Medicine in Boca Raton, FL.

PRP Therapy
Platelet Rich Plasma is the component of your blood that’s brimming with a high concentration of regenerative platelets that contain growth factors like:
fibroblast growth factor (EGF)
vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)
transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1)
hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)
insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1)
For over 3 decades, worldwide studies have demonstrated that PRP is safe and effective. Even traditionally trained doctors and surgeons now recommend PRP for:
tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis)
runner’s knee
heel pain (Achilles tendonitis)
plantar fasciitis
ligament sprains and tears
meniscus tears
rotator cuff tears
hip impingement syndrome
back pain & chronic pain
trigger point pain
neck pain
trigger finger or trigger thumb
osteoarthritis and rheumatoid joints
carpal tunnel syndrome
fibromyalgia
If Dr. Borenstein deems you a good candidate for PRP Therapy, he will draw your blood (typically less than two ounces), then centrifuge it for approximately five minutes to extract the regenerative platelets. He’ll disinfect your skin, then strategically inject a precise amount of your PRP serum directly into your injured tissue.
This non-surgical procedure takes from 45 to 60 minutes. You may feel a bit sore afterward, so apply cold compresses. Your damage may require anywhere from 1 to 6 sessions to regenerate. Most patients begin feeling the effects of PRP therapy about 1 to 3 weeks after their last session. Pain relief, mobility, and range-of-movement benefits may last up to several years.
Stem Cell Therapy
The conditions treated with PRP can also be treated with stem cell therapy, and there is great potential for stem cell procedures to manage painful joint conditions.
Stem cells derived from adipose (fat) tissue contain cytokines, growth factors, and exosomes. Regenerative medicine practitioners inject stem cells into damaged tissues to:
help form new blood vessels
activate endogenous stem cells
enable new cell growth
Tissues treated with indefinably-dividing, "undifferentiated" stem cells include cartilage, tendons, ligaments, fibrous connective tissue, or even bone.
Cell-free stem cell-derived therapy may be an even more efficient way of delivering regenerative proteins to degenerating tissue.
Prolotherapy
Prolotherapy is a natural procedure designed to treat soft tissue injuries. It provides a less invasive option for the treatment of damaged or weakened areas.
The non-surgical procedure involves injecting a natural solution to the affected area of the body. The resulting inflammatory response brings blood to the injured tissues which triggers healing and repair of musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain.
