My earliest childhood memories are being in the kitchen with my grandmother and my aunt while they were baking, my brother and cousins nearby ready to pounce on whatever was in the oven that day. The love that they showed for us and the recipes that were handed down drive me to bring memories like that to the people I bake for. I am going to be making these not so spooky sugar cookies for Halloween. Enjoy a dozen goblins, ghosts and ghouls for your get together (or just eat them by yourself!). I will also be making my famous chocolate chip cookies. The only thing scary about those are you won't be able to stop eating them.

This cute little turtle has come out to say have a wonderful day! And that this turtle cake was absolutely delicious with the homemade caramel drizzled all over the top and piled up inside the cake. Who doesn't love caramel and chocolate?

As teased earlier, here is the final product. It is a banana bread oatmeal bake. For those who should eat oatmeal but don’t like the texture. I used date syrup instead of maple for even less calories. Yum!
Oh and don’t forget about the candies pecans for that little extra something.
