Great news for animal welfare advocates across Florida.

The Florida Legislature has passed legislation creating an Animal Abuse Registry, helping prevent individuals convicted of animal abuse from adopting or purchasing animals without first being identified through a public registry. This important step adds another layer of protection for vulnerable animals and strengthens accountability for those who have harmed them.

Alan Rose has been a passionate advocate for this cause and worked hard to raise awareness by circulating petitions, educating the public, and encouraging community involvement. While meaningful change always requires many voices, this achievement would not have been possible without the support of the countless individuals who took the time to sign petitions, share information, and stand up for animal protection.

To everyone who signed, shared, supported, and believed in this effort: thank you. Your participation demonstrated that when people come together around a common purpose, positive change is possible.

This legislation represents more than a policy victory. It is a statement that animal cruelty will not be ignored and that Florida is taking meaningful steps to protect animals from future abuse.

Investing in the Next Generation

At this year’s Olympic Heights Community High School Senior Awards Night, Olympic Heights Community High School Class of 2026, Alan Rose proudly awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support one of the school’s outstanding female wrestlers.

This scholarship recognizes not only athletic dedication, but also the discipline, perseverance, leadership, and resilience it takes to compete and grow both on and off the mat.

Alan believes in supporting young people who demonstrate commitment, character, and the courage to pursue their goals, especially those breaking barriers and paving the way for others.

Congratulations to this inspiring student-athlete and the entire Class of 2026. The future is bright.
