We have an sighting with Jennifer Cigale today. So proud of her for her persistence. Ten months after the first approach, we’re starting a 50 life case today. Account number 15 will be on the books for her shortly!

So how are we getting more than half of our new accounts to be employer paid?

It actually begins with the approach to the business itself. We simply mention in the approach and in the decision maker meeting that they CAN pay towards the coverage if they want to, but don’t HAVE to like medical insurance.

In the close, we offer them a forced choice technique. They can either pay towards the coverage for every employee or it can be voluntary at the employee’s expense. It’s that simple.

If you offer value to your clients, they are willing to spend. Be more than a carrier rep to your clients!

New group number one for the week went down today with a defined contribution for Jen Cigale!

Later this week, I’ll share our process for getting employers to pay for coverage. 52 percent of our new groups this year have been employer paid!
