It’s National Insurance Awareness Day.
Everyone knows insurance can protect your family from financial devastation in the sad event of a family member passing away, and payouts are usually tax-free. But did you know that today’s life insurance policies can also offer living benefits, like tax-advantaged retirement income, or funds if you develop the need for long-term care? If you have a permanent policy, you might want to have it professionally reviewed to see if an exchange or replacement might offer you better terms.

June Is Annuity Awareness Month!
Reliable, recurring income during retirement becomes imperative once you’re no longer receiving a paycheck. In the past, monthly income was provided by employee pensions. Now, in many cases, retirees must figure out how they will file for Social Security as well as how they will withdraw money from their 401(k) in order to generate adequate retirement income without running out of money someday. Annuities can help some people by providing a regular income stream with a guarantee backed by the financial strength of an insurance company—either for a defined period of time, or for life.
