Why do we ask if you are pregnant, or planning to be? 💙

So we can take better care of you and your baby. That’s the whole reason.
Pregnancy changes your hormones, and your mouth notices. Gums get more inflamed, and things start happening that finally make sense once we know what’s going on.

Knowing also lets us be selective. Which medications we reach for, and when in your pregnancy a particular treatment makes sense.

And if you’re wondering whether this means staying away from the dentist, it’s the opposite. I’d tell you to come in more often for cleanings while you’re pregnant. It sets your gums up well for afterwards, once your hormones settle.

What to expect on your first Invisalign consult? 💙
Honestly, this is one of the easiest appointments you will ever have with a dentist, and it can also be one of the most life changing. We scan you, and that takes less than two minutes. We take a few photos. And within minutes we have you in digital form.
From there we can look at your bite patterns, at the little crack lines, at things you cannot see in the mirror. Then comes my favorite part. We run a simulation so you can see what ideal alignment would look like on your teeth, and on your whole face. We can even show you the difference between just straightening, adding some reshaping, or going full smile design.
Then we talk. What bothers you, what you actually want, what your goals are, paired with my recommendations. We answer every question until it is clear. That is the whole appointment. The next step is your aligners.

What to expect at your veneer delivery appointment? 💙
This is the day your temporaries come off and your porcelain goes on. We try in each veneer one at a time, check the fit tooth by tooth, then look at them all together in natural light and inside the office. You have to love them. I have to love them too. Only then do we bond.

We do not rush this appointment so plan for a morning or an afternoon with us and enjoy it, because this is the day your smile changes.
