Rustic Installations

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to CB2, Jevon, and Maggie for the wonderful article highlighting my dual passions in my art career! Your support means so much to me.

I am thrilled to announce my upcoming art exhibition, where I’ll be showcasing my latest oil painting—a significant milestone since I haven’t painted in oils for over three years! Alongside this new piece, I’ll also display a collection of my watercolor artworks created with Coastal_sketcher, as well as some of my older favorites.

To make the event even more special, the talented Jevon Daly and Andy Pitts will be performing live music, and there will be delightful drinks and appetizers to enjoy.

I can’t wait to share this experience with all of you!

Stay tuned for more details!

Tabby will be the focal point in this wine cabinet. Ok, ok.

Details, it’s all about the details with this unique tabby shell fireplace!

This tabby shell fireplace is a breathtaking focal point that beautifully marries natural beauty with architectural charm. Its design pays homage to the rich history of coastal living, as we adopted this traditional construction technique from the Spanish settlers who first embraced the local materials.

Crafted from tabby shell concrete—a unique blend of crushed oyster shells, lime, and sand—this fireplace showcases an intriguing texture and a warm, earthy palette. Each element is a testament to the artistry of nature, infusing the space with a sense of coastal elegance.

The prominent shells, native to the area, are prominently displayed in the design, creating a striking visual effect. Their captivating variations in color and shape add depth and character to the structure, transforming the fireplace into a work of art. As the flames dance within, the light reflects off the shells, casting mesmerizing patterns that evoke the serene beauty of the ocean. This tabby shell fireplace is not just a source of warmth; it’s a celebration of heritage and a centerpiece that draws people together in its inviting glow.

Nice breezy evening on the Wappoo Cut, this rare and unique Tabby Shell fireplace is the focal point on this Lowcountry porch.
