🍂 TWO WEEKENDS OF FALL COLOR, APPALACHIAN TRADITIONS, LIVE MUSIC & MOUNTAIN FUN ARE COMING TO HIAWASSEE, GEORGIA!
October brings one of North Georgia’s longtime fall traditions back to the shores of Lake Chatuge. The Georgia Mountain Fall Festival returns to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee for October 9–11 and October 15–17, 2026, with the Carnival Midway getting an early start on October 8 at 6 PM.
Visitors can wander through Pioneer Village, where historic mountain buildings, including a one-room schoolhouse and smokehouse, offer a glimpse into Appalachian life from generations past. An operating gristmill, handmade crafts, demonstrations, specialty entertainment, and the festival’s flower show give you plenty to explore between bites of fall favorites like apple cider, fried apple pies, smoked trout, and vegetable plates.
Live music is another big reason to make the trip. Anderson Music Hall welcomes The Bellamy Brothers & Exile on October 9 and a Gospel Music Show featuring The Isaacs on October 11. The second weekend continues with The Malpass Brothers & Always Loretta on October 15, Molly Tuttle on October 16, and Tanya Tucker closing out the festival on October 17.
Advance concert tickets include festival admission. General festival admission is $10, and children 12 and younger are admitted free.
