Hello Friends and past guests, this is URGENT, being voted on MONDAY, PLEASE READ! You are about to have to pay more for your vacations to the mountains! Please sign the petition at the link below to say NO! If you currently book a vacation through VRBO or AirBnb, you are already paying 30%+ in taxes and fees alone! The state of GA has proposed a new bill (HB 317) that will cause guests to pay another $5 per night in additional taxes and the vote could come on Monday. If you stay 10 nights somewhere, that means an additional $50 for your vacation to the North GA mountains or the GA coast. We got our Christmas decor up this weekend. It's the most wonderful time of the year! We love Christmas!

For our past and future guests...we have acquired a larger cabin (4BR/3.5BA) still 5 miles from downtown BR with a beautiful layered long range mountain view. Our target date for our first rental in "Bear Cloud" is early January. It will have a game room with foosball and possibly table shuffleboard in the basement. Our estimated introductory rates for the early birds will be in the $150/night weeknights and $175/night weekend nights range (plus tax and cleaning) until we start filling up. Not your average Ace Hardware! We often tell our guests to check out Ace in Blue Ridge and they ask us if we are kidding. No we aren't, simply because it is the best Ace Hardware ever! The one in Ellijay isn't too shabby either. Lots of interesting handmade furniture, sporting goods for hunting and fishing, animals and more!
