I just love Aska Pines in the Fall! The interior design of the cabin is made for Fall and winter using tactile materials, lots of golden pine wood, and a warm, cozy palette inspired by Autumn in the mountains.

Project Chimps in Morganton (30 min drive from Aska Pines) is a chimp sanctuary where 95 chimps live. They were rescued from aggressive medical testing and now have lots of room to roam and live good lives. It’s open for tours twice/ year or private group tours up to 20 people for $500. Very worthwhile.
